This year I took a chance at applying for the annual Artists Market, which is held in August at Ithaca's lovely Farmer's Market location. Signing up for a half-booth was a great way to give it a try. I'm so grateful to have been juried in! It was a ton of fun and ya just couldn't ask for better weather! I hope to participate again next year! The weather was more Ithaca-like for the Art Trail Open Studios weekends in October, but plenty of folks managed to stop by. And even bought art! These ladies were such a hoot. I miss ol' Aloysius the vulture, but I know he's gone to a wonderful new home.
Artists were asked to consider providing a demo or activity for visitors. So of course, there was stick-wrapping here at Brightly Studio! It was SUPER fun getting to just hang out with people and do something fun together. I can't wait to wrap more sticks with people again next year!
