Every now and then I come across an image that I just have to paint. My friend Melissa posted a photo on Facebook of one of her sheep with a chicken on its back, and its expression was irresistible. I was smitten instantly.
This was so fun to paint! I had a great time playing with colors and texture, although the wool was a bit of a challenge. I love the eyes of sheep, and frogs. And the expressions of chickens. There was a lot of personality going on here. And I love painting subjects in the snow.
Now my cousin sent another similarly irresistible photo which I plan to paint next...
